HEROTHERONE.

HEROTHERONE is the second outfit for the female. There are three garments with make this outfit, a sheer shirt, coat and a pair of shorts.

The sheer shirt is made from silk chiffon and I found working with chiffon really hard as I'm not use to working with such light fabrics. I want the shirt to be tailored and with the fabric having such a light flow keeps it more feminine. The shirt is inspired by one of Dion Lee's sheer shirts. I love the tailored look and still keeping that feminine feel.

The coat I wanted to have a minimal look and have a COS feel to it. I'm pleased with the look and the fabric has a felt feel which has a luxury feel.

The shorts are made from 100% wool. I want to go for a school boy look with these shorts.

Here's my David Lam photo for the brochure lookbook. I'm so pleased with the look of the image. It has a Koopals feel to it which is just what I wanted and the models look good in the garments and the prints are colourful but not overpowering in the image.

LABEL DESIGN.

I've got in contact with a label company that are going to weave me 20 smaples labels to be put onto my garments for my collection. I want to label to be small and neat, and I didnt want a fancy font. It's simple, minimal and slick which reflects my collection. I've flipped the 'K' to make it unique and have my own stamp on it.

I'm proud to announce that feelunique.com are sponsering us this year at Graudate Fashion Week 2012. It's a brillaint opportunity for them and us and it'll hopefully get us some attention at GFW in June.

HIS&HERS LINEUP

The line-up have changed again. With just under 4 weeks to make the rest of the collection which is 4 outfits, I now don't have time for anymore changes to the collection. But when it comes to making the garments some changes may come along.

On the day of the brochure photoshoot I had to make a quick change to HIS outfit, the blue pig suede top didn't go with the shorts and there just to much colour within the outfit. so I made a change by using one of my own white shirts from home, this is lucky becuase I have a mens white shirt within my collection so it was just a case of changing some outfits. But it was changed for the better.

you can see here it doesn't work and as a designer it's my job to make it right.

FREEFALLING FASHION.

I love this new HTC Advert, It takes fashion to a whole new level. This shows that fashion has no limits and a model jumping out of a plane for a photoshoot is just the start of something creative that fashion has. It's a new way of viewing and experiencing fashion and at the same time advertising a mobile phone. Two in one what a score!!

MAN WITH A BAG.

I've had the idea of making a man clutch for my photo shoot as part of the styling of the collection in the back on my mind for a while now, but when I saw the new lookbook for COS Spring 2012 I thought twice about it being apart of the look of my collection.

There's something quite feminine about a man with a cluth and it's fit well with the genderless look of my collection and instead of her borrowing from him, he is borrowing a little something from the her.

BROCHURE PHOTO SHOOT.

Today was the shoot for our university lookbook brochure. It well really well and I'm pleased with the outcome of the look of my image and can't wait to see the final outcome. The models worked really well together and got the poses just how I wanted them to be. Cool, effortless, young & laid back. Here are some photos from behind the scenes...
